THE WORKFORCE OF TOMORROW

Cobb County is building the workforce of the future. As the most educated county in Georgia, big ideas are built into our foundations. Nearly 50% of our population over 25 holds a bachelor’s degree or higher, and we strive to attract driven, diverse professionals to Cobb, constantly enhancing our workforce. From bio-sciences to manufacturing and beyond, Cobb is home to the best and brightest in your industry.

A Strong Start

From Pre-K through high school, our students have equal or better outcomes as the average student statewide. Our graduation rates, performance on key end-of-course tests, and performance on standardized national tests shows the quality of our public education system here in Cobb.

Aiming Higher

Cobb County is one of the most educated counties in the U.S, ranking among the best year after year. As of 2019, 47.4% aged 25+ and above possessed a bachelor’s degree or higher, considerably higher than the national average (36%). With access to higher education institutes like Chattahoochee Technical College, Kennesaw State University, Life University, the Georgia Institute of Technology, and other top universities in Georgia, higher education has never been closer.

Learning Never Stops

Our continuing education and training programs allow Cobb’s workforce to learn and improve long after graduation.

2021 Workforce Study

Since its inception in 2015, the Cobb Workforce Partnership (CWP) has worked to address the current and future workforce needs and concerns by bringing together leaders from the business community, K-12 educational systems, postsecondary education institutions, and other stakeholders for focused dialogue. As part of its five-year strategic plan, the CWP commissioned a workforce study from the A.L. Burruss Institute of Public Service and Research at Kennesaw State University.
