Relay Payments, a venture-backed fintech company, is relocating to a new headquarters in the Galleria Office Park in Cobb County. Relay Payments is modernizing the logistics and supply chain industry through instant, electronic, secure payments and removing the reliance on cash and checks.

“We’re excited for our new headquarters and to make Cobb County our home.  Atlanta is a hub for payments, logistics and supply chain and fintech – Relay uniquely sits in the middle of all three industries so it makes sense for us to build our foundation here,” said Ryan Droege, Relay Payments CEO. “We currently have a team or more than 100 employees across 12 states and our focus is on hiring as we rapidly grow that number over the next 12 months.”

The relocation to Cobb and its new office headquarters comes after the company recently closed two rounds of investment funding in six months which has led to rapid growth for the company.

“Cobb is open for business and we are very excited to welcome yet another amazing company to our county,” said Lisa Cupid, Chairwoman of the Cobb Board of Commissioners. “Relay Payments will have a positive economic impact, adding more than 200 new jobs in the next two years. Our deep professional talent pool, strong business environment, innovative leadership and many recreational opportunities make Cobb a great place to live and do business.”

Relay’s customer-centric approach has entrusted the company to process more than 300,000 transactions every month, working with the largest carriers, freight brokers, and third party logistic providers across 50 U.S. states and Canada.

“Relay Payments is joining a growing fintech industry sector in Cobb County,” said Dana Johnson, COO of the Cobb Chamber and Executive Director of SelectCobb. “Cobb County’s pipeline of talent and business-friendly environment create the ideal conditions for a growing fintech company, like Relay Payments, to meet the demands of their industry and to continue to expand.”

“Relay Payments’ decision to move their headquarters to Cumberland is a testament to the value of our community. Cumberland offers an unparalleled and extraordinary quality of life with dynamic places to visit and a rich talent pool for the workforce,” said Kim Menefee, Executive Director, Cumberland Community Improvement District.  “We are excited Relay Payments is bringing more jobs to Cobb County and look forward to their success in Cumberland.”
