FindHelp – Cobb County has partnered with FindHelp to create a new online resource that connects residents with local, vetted assistance programs. On the site, you can search for free or reduced-cost services like medical care, food, job training, and more. Residents can access this new portal by visiting findhelp.cobbcounty.gov. The initiative is funded through an allocation of the American Rescue Plan Act.

Small Business Development Center – The UGA SBDC at Kennesaw State University’s Coles College of Business offers entrepreneurs, startups, and small businesses in Cobb and Cherokee County the tools and information they need to thrive. This provides individuals and startups a resource center for small business development. As part of their mission to grow Georgia’s businesses and educate business owners, the UGA SBDC at KSU offers no-cost, confidential business consulting services paired with classes and training programs for business owners, both new and established.

Town Center Community – Our role in the community is twofold. As a Community Improvement District, we invest in infrastructure projects that increase property values in the district. The Alliance, our nonprofit partner, works in the community to provide programs and improvements that help our members thrive in Town Center.
Our role in the business community is to connect the businesses in our district with the resources they need to grow with us. For our business members, we facilitate relationships with our partners from across the County to help address complex challenges and questions, offer opportunities to engage with the community, and help build visibility within the district.
The Town Center Community Alliance is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization focused on bringing quality-of-life improvements and programs to the Town Center Community. The Alliance is run by a board of directors and relies on donations from the public, community partners, corporate sponsors, and the Town Center CID to fully fund and develop projects and programs. Urban League of Greater Atlanta Financial Empowerment and Emergency Relief Center (FEERC) – The FEERC is an integrated evidence-based career, case management and financial coaching service center. It represents a blended model developed by the Local Initiatives Support Corporation (LISC) and the National Urban League. ULGA’s FEERC also offers relief to people in crises, such as during the pandemic or a regional housing downturn, to avoid a downward spiral into poverty. Since the pandemic, we have helped clients with emergency funds to pay utilities, rent, and other bills to avoid eviction while they pursue jobs and certification in high-income fields.
CobbWorks – As Cobb County’s American Job Center, CobbWorks provides access to a system of employment and education services for our community. In an increasingly complex workforce and economy, people sometimes need guidance and assistance in managing their career development, particularly when challenged with unexpected events. CobbWorks provides workforce services that assist people in helping themselves and their families.
Georgia Department of Labor – The Georgia Department of Labor provides a wide range of services to individuals and employers. These include administration of Georgia’s unemployment insurance, reemployment services, provision of workforce information to the public and private sectors, and oversight of child labor issues.
